Creating a new design for a compounding pharmacy machine
Overview
For BetteRx, we designed a bench-top compounding system intended to support pharmacists through automation. The system aids in the formation of pills, suppositories, troches, and similar dosage forms, addressing a complex and time-intensive step in pharmaceutical preparation.
The system was designed as a compact, purpose-built piece of hardware. Form, structure, and interaction were refined to support precision, repeatability, and ease of use in a bench-top setting. Materials and interfaces were selected to withstand clinical environments, resulting in a controlled, reliable machine built for modern pharmacy compounding.
