Skimpies

Skimpies partnered with RISTICH to turn a kitchen-table invention into a brand built for the shelf.

Overview

Skimpies started as a fix nobody else wanted to make: an organic cotton liner designed specifically for leggings, built to replace the underwear line and the synthetic layer sitting closest to the skin. RISTICH took the product from a hand-cut workaround to a manufacturable object, shaping the form, the brand, and the box it lives in so all three speak the same language: soft, cheeky, and completely unbothered by a subject most fem-care brands still whisper about. The work arrived as Skimpies was moving from viral livestreams to national retail, giving a community-built brand the system it needed to stand next to legacy names on the shelf. All of it culminated in founder Bette Bentley walking into the Shark Tank with a product ready for the spotlight, and walking out with a deal.

Skimpies is a one-product brand, which means the product has to do all the talking. We designed a liner that disappears once it’s on and a package that stands out on the shelf, giving a genuinely useful product the clarity and confidence it deserves. The identity carries the same warmth that built the Skimpies Sisters community online, translated into something you can hold.

We gave a category that hadn’t changed in decades a product, a brand, and a package that feel playful on the outside and considered down to every seam.
