Overview
Aeternum presents a new way of living with memory. Designed as a simple and enduring display, it pairs personal images with the passage of time since they occurred. The object resists novelty, focusing instead on continuity and presence. Images from the past remain visible in the everyday, allowing memory to exist as part of the environment rather than as a moment to be revisited.
The product and its surrounding system were developed together. A proprietary image display is paired with an e-ink interface that counts forward from each moment, making time itself part of the composition. Restrained in form and quiet in behavior, Aeternum is designed to feel lasting rather than contemporary. The result is an object that allows meaningful moments to endure, marked not by change, but by time.
